HTC Fires Back; Sues Apple for Patent Infringement

With all of Apple's patent lawsuits, it's a wonder they haven't sued every manufacture that has made something rectangular that has a screen. However, one of the big news lawsuits was against HTC, which Apple attempted to get a preliminary injunction against to stop US sales. HTC is now returning fire, putting its S3 patent portfolio to work. The target? Apple's entire lineup.
This will never happen, but if it was to actually go to court and HTC had a case, Apple would pretty much have to close shop on everything they make, from iPhones to iPods to iMacs. What will happen though, is Apple will probably drop the charges against HTC in return for them dropping theirs, so everyone will be back at the beginning. With Google's recent plans to acquire Motorola Mobility, and the rumors that Samsung is accusing Apple of modifying picture evidence in it's lawsuits, hopefully Apple will actually start putting its gigantic cash horde to use innovating instead of litigating.
